About
As a ghostwriter, I love both serving people and learning from them about life. What I don't know, research is a joy where I learn so much. With over two decades of experience, I have written for celebrities who don't have time to write a book that impacts readers. Publishers are always looking for strong writers to bring books and studies to life. When I began writing professionally, I started with a three-year project from Faith Alive to create a new curriculum for children. During that time, I also sold two movie scripts to agents. After that, I wrote books for a celebrity on different topics, which expanded to about 10 years of work. I'm grateful for all that work, from then to now. I have written many memoirs, novels, and mysteries for clients. Unfortunately, I cannot list them because of NDAs. I also wrote life stories for Hospice patients to leave for their families. This truly was work from the heart. Flexibility is important to me and part of my customer service package. I am a hard worker and love what I do. I want my clients to be thrilled by the end of the writing process and do what I can to make that happen. Mutual respect is utmost in communication. When I am working on a project, I am driven not only to finish on time, but also to make it the best it can be.

Winner of the Selah Award in 2023Chapter 3: Schedule Regular Date Nights
Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. - Henry Ford
“Mommy, where are you and Daddy going?”
Nan is putting on a necklace when the question is asked. She smiles at the confused look on her daughter'sround face. “Daddy and I are going on a date.”
“But you're married already.”
“Yes, we are, but that doesn't mean we need to stop dating, does it?”
“I guess not, but aren't you too old to date?”
“No, we are not, honey”!
****** What did you do on a date before you became married? Was the actual date more important or just being with the person you were dating? Probably the latter. Now, as you enjoy your married years, you can both still date each other and focus on whatever activity you choose while enjoying each other's company, too.
You realize, of course, that just because you married someone doesn't mean that you know all about them. You have a lifetime of learning about your spouse. At times, you will be surprised on how they react or respond to something. Like you, they are continually growing and changing as you both mature. This keeps life exciting. Life experiences mold you into the person God wants you to become. You are not the same person you were years ago. Someone once said, “The moment you stop growing, you start dying.” This is also true of relationships. Date night is important. You learned about each other in your early dating years. Now you have opportunities to learn more about your mate. Be aware of the changes they are going through. You grow closer as you learn more about your mate.
Jesus knew it was important to spend time with the disciples, so they basically came to live with him wherever he went. He walked with them morning, noon, and night. “After this, Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing” (John 3:22). They witnessed Jesus do all sorts of ministry. The disciples learned who Jesus was … as much as they could anyway. They had only three years of ministry with him.
You have a lifetime to get to know your spouse. Look for something new about them every day. On your dates, ask questions that will help you know more about them such as, “What are the best three things that happened to you today?” You want to ask questions that can't be answered by a yes or no,so that you can get more information. Discover how they feel about issues, what makes them sad, or how they feel appreciated. There are an infinite number of things you can find out about them that will enrich your marriage and truly help you to feel that you have married your best friend.
What to do on a date
Keep in mind that the goal is not only to have an enjoyable time, but to get to know one another better. Going to a movie prohibits any talking, but perhaps you could go for coffee and ice cream afterward and discuss the film. Be adventurous as you discover new things together. Here are some possibilities for you and your spouse to do together: • Going for a nice dinner and talking • Hiking or climbing a mountain 29 • Canoeing or snorkeling • Wine tasting • Go to a carnival or fair that may be in town • Antiquing • Riding bikes • Playing tennis • Laying on the beach • Sailing • Concert or symphony • Take a class together • Learn to dance together, and then do it regularly • Take the dog for a nice long walk. Don't have a dog? You might need one. • Exercise together • Make a romantic meal together. Have soft lights and music to set the mood.
This is a short list of the possibilities. Perhaps together with your spouse, you could think of more to do. Make it fun. It doesn't need to be perfect; in fact, if it doesn't turn out well at all, that's okay. The main goal is doing something together.
Date night should be on the calendar each week. This gives you both something to look forward to during the week. Dating may feel weird once you get started, but as time goes on, you will both feel very comfortable with each other. It's a special time when you both say, “You're important, and I want to spend time with you.” The results will be fabulous. Try it!
