Terms of service

The terms that will live here cover the marketplace relationship: who the platform contracts with, what the platform does and does not warrant about a listed writer, how milestone payments are held and released, who is liable for a chargeback, and how disputes are handled. Separately, every engagement carries its own agreement covering copyright assignment and confidentiality between the client and the writer. That text is snapshotted at acceptance and is the document that actually governs a book.

Copyright assignment has statutory formalities in the United States and the payment-hold arrangement deserves a real legal answer rather than an assumption. Both are going to a lawyer before launch.
