The better a ghostwriter is, the less evidence exists that they did the job. The contract runs through the platform and the money is held until the work is approved, so that at the end one thing can be said in public and proven: this writer was paid in full, and here's what the client thought.

A person reads every writer
Nobody is listed until someone here has read their work. There's no badge for this. It's true of everyone on the site. A human editor, not a bot, approves every writer.
Reviews come from money that moved
A review can only exist after a contract was paid start to finish through the platform. There is no other way to get one.
Clients stay anonymous
Reviews publish without the client's name: a redaction bar, not a pseudonym. Confidentiality is the whole reason this industry has no record; we don't break it to build one.
No paid placement, no price sort
You can't buy a better spot, and you can't sort writers by price. The default order is ours: writers we've featured first, then whoever has finished the most contracts here, then years in the trade.

Notable Authors is a father-and-daughter team: New York Times bestselling author Michael Levin and Amazon bestselling author Bracha Fliegelman.
Michael Levin
Co-founder · forty years in the trade
Michael Levin, the “Michael Jordan of ghostwriting,” has spent forty years as a ghostwriter with more than a thousand books written, edited, or published, including two New York Times bestsellers and dozens of legitimate national bestsellers. He founded BusinessGhost (one of the country's largest ghostwriting firms), sold it in 2018, and now runs Legacy by Levin.

He has written for Baseball Hall of Famer Dave Winfield, NFL broadcaster Pat Summerall, David Pottruck when he ran Charles Schwab, Michael Gerber of The E-Myth, and the FBI agent who went undercover inside the Gambino family and took down its top thirty-two members. That last one, Making Jack Falcone, reached the New York Times list, ran on 60 Minutes, and was optioned by Paramount for Steven Soderbergh.
His range runs from memoir and sports to business, leadership books and the short business fable. More than a hundred of his books were written for wealth managers and financial advisors, at Morgan Stanley, UBS, Wells Fargo and elsewhere, and three of his business books reached number one on Amazon. He also wrote a novel that ABC made into a hit series.
He has appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank, Good Morning America, and BBC television and radio. Today he runs Legacy by Levin, a full-service ghostwriting and publishing company, and every Legacy book begins with a planning session he leads himself.

Bracha Fliegelman
Bracha is a book ghostwriter and editor, with dozens of memoirs and business books behind her.
We've both done the work this site lists, and the rules here are the ones we wanted when we were doing it.
How we make money
Listing is free for writers. We take 15% of the first $30,000 of a book and 10% of the rest, from each stage as the client pays it, and nothing else. If nobody gets paid, neither do we.
